Ownership Statement

Last updated September 12, 2026

Ownership on a custom digital project is rarely all-or-nothing — some parts are built just for you, others are tools we reuse across every client. This statement lays out, clearly, who owns what and when it becomes yours.

§ 01Overview

This statement covers intellectual property ownership across three areas: the Hyzon Dust brand and website itself, the tools and methods we use to deliver work, and the deliverables we build for individual clients. It works alongside our Terms and Conditions, which it does not replace.

§ 02Site and brand

The hyzondust.com website — including its design, layout, copy, graphics, logo, and the “Hyzon Dust” name and mark — is owned by Hyzon Dust. You may not copy, reproduce, or repurpose our site design, branding, or written content for your own commercial use without written permission.

§ 03Our pre-existing tools

Any frameworks, code libraries, templates, automation workflows, or proprietary methodologies that we developed prior to, or independently of, your specific project remain our property — even when they’re used inside your deliverable. Engaging us for a project does not transfer ownership of these underlying tools; you receive a license to use them as part of your finished product.

§ 04Your deliverables

StageOwnership
During development, before full paymentHeld by Hyzon Dust
Upon full and final paymentTransfers to the client
Third-party or licensed assets within the projectRemain under their original license, not transferred
Our pre-existing tools used to build itRemain with Hyzon Dust, licensed for your use

Once your invoice is paid in full, ownership of the final, agreed-upon deliverables built specifically for you — your website, app, branding files, or automation setup — transfers to you.

§ 05Licensed components

Projects often include third-party elements — stock photography, fonts, plugins, icon sets, or open-source libraries. These remain governed by their original licenses even after your project is complete. We’ll flag any component that carries usage restrictions or ongoing license fees so there are no surprises.

§ 06Source files and access

Source files, admin access, and credentials for your project are handed over upon full payment and project completion, unless a different arrangement is agreed in your proposal (for example, with ongoing retainer or hosting arrangements where we retain access to provide support).

§ 07Free resources

Free downloads like our Starter Kit are provided for your personal or business use. They remain Hyzon Dust’s intellectual property and may not be resold, redistributed, or repackaged as your own product.

§ 08Portfolio rights

Unless you request otherwise in writing, we reserve the right to feature completed projects — including screenshots, descriptions, and general results — in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing materials. We won’t share confidential business information, credentials, or non-public data as part of this.

§ 09What you send us

Any content, logos, images, copy, or materials you provide for your project remain your property. By sending them to us, you confirm you hold the necessary rights to use them and grant us permission to incorporate them into your deliverable.

§ 10Trademarks

“Hyzon Dust” and our associated logo are marks of Hyzon Dust. Any client or partner names, logos, or trademarks referenced on our site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification or portfolio purposes only.

§ 11Changes to this statement

We may update this statement as our services or practices evolve. Updates appear here with a revised date above; ownership terms agreed in a signed proposal for a specific project take precedence over this general statement where they differ.

§ 12Contact us
